Kalle Vaismaa, formerly known as the Finnish cycling professor, is a long-term collaborator, especially of Timo and Pekka, through several active city and active travel promotion projects.
Kalle currently works as a digitalization professor at the University of Tampere, but also continues to be influential at the Tampere University Transport Research Center Verne, for example as a thesis supervisor. In addition, Kalle works as an independent consultant on a inspiring projects.
Kalle joined the CMC team because he has a burning desire to change the internal processes and operating models of cities to make them more sustainable. Kalle has extensive experience of both Finnish and international cities, best practices and successful change projects.
Kalle and Timo have developed project proposals together for cities to be able to achieve the commonly agreed transport policy targets. Kalle joins the CMC team’s transport policy team in addition to Timo and Karl.
